Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using StoryPass ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
License Grant
Subject to these Terms, Discerne.co LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use StoryPass for personal or commercial use on devices you own or control.
Purchase Terms
- StoryPass is available as a one-time purchase through the Mac App Store
- All purchases are processed by Apple and subject to Apple's terms and conditions
- Refunds are handled according to Apple's refund policy
Permitted Use
You may:
- Use the App to generate passwords for personal or business use
- Install the App on multiple devices you own (per Apple's licensing terms)
You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the App
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App
Intellectual Property
StoryPass, including its design, code, wordlists, and documentation, is owned by Discerne.co LLC and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- MERCHANTABILITY
- FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
- NON-INFRINGEMENT
- SECURITY OR ACCURACY
Discerne.co LLC does not warrant that:
- The App will meet your requirements
- The App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- Generated passwords will be suitable for your security needs
Security Disclaimer
While StoryPass uses cryptographically secure random number generation, no password generation method can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for:
- Choosing appropriate passwords for your security needs
- Storing passwords securely
- Using additional security measures (such as two-factor authentication) where appropriate
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DISCERNE.CO LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Loss of data
- Loss of profits
- Security breaches
- Unauthorized access to accounts
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Discerne.co LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
Termination
These Terms are effective until terminated. Your rights under these Terms will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any term. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App and delete all copies.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Brazil, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
